Coronation day…oops, I mean inauguration day 2009, the day this whole steaming mess is dropped into the lap of Barack Hussein Obama. He is already retracting many of the campaign promises he has made. He now admits that he won’t be able keep them due to the financial crisis and projected budget deficits. The very same financial crisis that was going on during his campaign. He knew all this before, he just could not admit it until he was elected. It’s bad strategy to be honest you know?
Barack Obama is now the President of the United States, and we can finally say goodbye to the arrogance, incompetence and deceitfulness of the last administration. I’ve said what I’m going to say about them in a previous article, The End of an Error, and I will not look back again. In that article I said I was proud of my vote for Mr. Obama and that I believed him to be a remarkable man, so I thought I would explain myself.
Stem cells hit the limelight in November 1998, when researchers first reported that they had isolated human embryonic stem cells. These cells, isolated from embryos that were several days old, can theoretically be differentiated into any kind of cell in the human body, from blood cells to brain cells to muscle cells.
Once more our nation is filled with hope and resolve, peace, love and liberty to carry ourselves along with our brothers and sisters into a shining new era. We, the people of the United States of America, along with your brothers and sisters of the entire human race renew our vows to uphold life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
First let me say I’m no expert. I’m just an average person trying to make a living, enjoy life with my family, but it is my perspective. Many good people can agree or disagree on this topic without being disagreeable.
I was under the impression we lived in a democratic capitalistic society, which encouraged and supported ambitious people to go after their dreams, where only the strong survive in a business arena? There are still intelligent individuals out there with that burning desire to succeed, and willing to take the risks required to make their ideas a reality. New entrepreneurs are the ones willing to work countless hours, roll up their sleeves doing the dirty jobs if necessary. Perhaps the heads of these large corporations looking for bailouts forgot that basic principal, which is most likely the very reason for their companies’ poor performance.
The change we need is finally here. Dream big, and it just may come true.
The departing US president in his last press conference a week before the white industrialized world’s first non-white president would be inaugurated summed up the historic 2008 US transition. He said he saw people crying on TV after the election saying, “I never thought I’d see the day when a black person would be elected president.”
