To the Editor:
The article on the front page of the Boston Globe “Warren May Retool Ads” is essentially an opinion piece on the quality of her TV ads and should have run on the op-ed page.
A case could be made that the ads have in fact been effective — she has pulled into a tie with Brown in a recent poll. And her speech at the DNC, echoing the themes of her ads, was very well received.
The Globe’s readers would be much better served if there were straight news articles on page one that describe Brown’s and Warren’s positions on such key issues as taxes, financial regulation, Medicare, birth control, and reducing the debt.
