Letter to the Editor:
Unable to run on his abysmal record, Pres. Obama has moved beyond ‘Hope and Change’ to ‘Blame and Defame’. His despicable campaign is driven by division, deception and distraction. Faced with an economic crisis that worsens with every retelling, he wasted two years of total government control ramming through Obamacare, squandering the stimulus, and, literally, tilting at windmills.
Osama bin Laden may be dead, but Iranian and Islamist threats are very much alive. Recent Mideast violence has visibly exposed the sheer folly of Obama foreign policy, its embrace of enemies, alienation of allies, supine deference to the UN, overall projection of weakness, and “leading from behind”.
The ‘Arab Spring’, and its likely capture by radical elements, was badly misread. In the extraordinary instance of strategic and humanitarian interests coinciding, pleas from massively protesting Iranians and Syrians facing slaughter went unheeded. Ill-executed departures from Iraq and Afghanistan are leaving dangerous voids.
Continuing trillion dollar annual deficits ought to absolutely terrify. Staggering national debt interest payments and exploding entitlements soon will crowd out all federal discretionary spending. This administration has neither the will, nor any credible plan, to address looming fiscal catastrophe, but plenty of criticism for those who do. Instead, it’s busy transforming America from a hand-up to a handout society.
Thus, the American electorate’s fateful 2012 choice: to be citizens or subjects?
