To the Editor:
Mr. Snowden has declared himself to be policeman, judge and jury. What power! In the 1950s we executed the Rosenbergs for disclosing state secrets in the interest of their vision of fair play.
What is the difference? Relationships between countries are not the same as those between individuals. The Rosenberg’s disclosures led to 60 years of Cold War and expenditures of trillions and thousands of lives. What justifies Snowden’s claim to godliness and what will be the future unknown costs of his urge for recognition?
