To the Editor:
As the Christmas season is upon us I am troubled by what I see around me. This year it has come to close to home. I sat down a few days back and my I was overcome by a desire to express myself to share my thoughts to anyone willing to listen.
As we approach the day of celebration of our Lord Jesus Christ, it troubles me how many people have deserted the true “reason for the season”. At this time of turmoil in our world, Satan is quickly gaining power and putting doubt in the minds of many Christians. This causing them to question and sometimes completely abandon their belief in God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Satan knows those who are most vulnerable, and those that are easier influenced to be swayed by his power. He also knows the ones who are easily diverted with scientific reasoning which blocks them from believing in the miracles that God has provided for centuries. It takes a stronger person to fight Satan and disallow any interruption in their conviction to Christianity.
My question is this: How can those who have abandoned their belief in Christ celebrate Christmas? What are they celebrating?
These are the times the Bible tells us are to come to our world. It separates the true believers in The Lord that will have salvation and eternal life from those who Satan has overpowered.
My question is this: How can those who have abandoned their belief in Christ celebrate Christmas? What are they celebrating? What do they tell their children? “Yes there is a Santa Claus, but Christ is a myth, fictional”.
How do the children know what to believe when the discover Santa Claus is a myth???
The true meaning of Christmas is about believing and committing oneself to the true celebration of the birth of Christ. And the belief and commitments to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
My prayer to Our Lord is to give strength to those falling into Satan’s grip. That they may escape and find refuge in The Lord. That they may discover the path, however challenging, to salvation. God is with you always. The Lord awaits your call and request to bring him forever into your heart.
Merry Christsmas to All,
