To the Editor:
The writers have fallen for the nonsense repeated by the father of Ted Cruz or right-wing writers. The copy of the Gettysburg address read by the president was the draft, as requested he do so by Ken Burns, and which did NOT contain those words.
When reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, the President has always included those same words, as recordings have repeatedly shown. But why let the facts get in the way of what one wishes to believe?
