This is exactly what I want to say to everyone who thinks that the right-wing buzz being spread like manure on a field is really expressing an interest in protecting their liberty and freedom. These idiots are making $40,000 a year, are enslaved to their employers so they can have health insurance, their jobs are being sold overseas for corporate profits, their 401Ks are as insecure as quicksand and they all stand around saying "YEAH!! I want the freedom to make it on my own and everybody else needs to accept that responsibiliy for themselves.". When will they realize that privatizing societal safety nets, and then putting the means they have to create their own assets into the hands of new corporate individuals rife with self interest will leave them screwed to the wall with no where to go and no one who cares. Unbelievable lack of understanding.

Thank you health care companies for supporting the Republicans. You are in support of the smart party by far. We all need to stand united and fight against the Democrats who favor the healthcare reform law. They had the audacity to ignore the will of the people, so we need to fight back with every ounce of strength in us. Go Republicans on November 2nd.

Two comments: (1) The money the government has spent on the space program and (ironically) on wars has turned out to be money well spent, not necessarily for the direct results but for the indirect economic stimulus effect. Same thing with the current stimulus. (2) Money is an illusion anyway. Michael Moore asked the Undersecretary of the Treasury where all the money went, and she said 'I don't know'. What she should have said is 'nobody knows'. Think about the value of your house (if you have one). How much was it worth two years ago compared to now? Where did that money go? It simply vanished because all the people in your community stopped believing what they used to believe it was worth. (PS - those stacks of $100 bills are imaginary; there aren't that many $100 bills)

Jeff you're absolutely right. I can't tell you how upset I am at teh fact that there is really no family hour any more. Case in point was the show that started this week, with the plot that everyone had suddenly blacked out for 2 minutes and 17 seconds. The show started at 8 and sure enough, within 5 minutes there's a babysitter having graphic sex on the couch with her boyfriend. Awful stuff at that hour. The only safe TV show in prime time is amerca's funniest home videos. Good letter.

Very cool perspective on a billion dollars spent. It is a bit mind boggling, but it's not all Obama's fault that money has to be spent so needs can be met.

Obama. Is. Not. A. Communist.
More important, not beuilding missile defense in Poland does not mean the US would not defend Poland and other Allies if the need arose. A smart diplomatic and financial decision does not equate to abandonment.
