ARE YOU AS MAD AS I AM? One Trillion Dollars being requested from the taxpayers by President Bush stating that we have no choice. Let’s target every member of our government to be given their “Pink Slip”. They have no compassion on you when you get your “Pink Slip” so let’s do what all good Americans do…VOTE!

I respect Obama and McCain and I would like to send them on a fishing trip organized by Sarah Palin and hosted by Joe Biden. They are one big happy family because they all present the same face…bought by big business and they no longer represent the people.

Mismanagement of this magnitude requires a resignation or a pink slip. They continue to lie to us so how can we believe the numbers they are bandying about? Seven hundred billion? A trillion? That is more money than I can fathom. We are already eleven trillion in debt. That doesn’t include the looming obligation of Social Security. Add it all up and what do you have?

A Nation Off Course!!!

Let’s agree not to listen to any more of their lies. Pointing fingers and blaming each other. We need resignation letters right now. We need those letters or we are going to vote the men and women of government out of office. They spring this all on us so close to the election so that we don’t have choices. But we have choices. I am calling out the citizens of America to wake up and vote. If you have not yet registered, then register to vote and we can take our country back. I am calling on ordinary citizens to get organized and appoint one of the rank and file as the designated “write in candidate” for the Senate or House of Representative Seat that is available in your State or district. Every member of Congress needs to be fired.

EVERY SINGLE MEMBER OF CONGRESS NEEDS TO BE FIRED.
WE CAN TAKE BACK OUR COUNTRY NOW!!!!

If a majority of the votes cast have the write in candidate clearly indicated then we can upend this unspeakable mismanagement and put America on the right course.

They would have you believe that it is all so complicated so that the average American can’t understand it. The truth is that we must keep the language simple and the policies uncomplicated. We must return to basics where the American Economy is about producing something tangible. A product or service that the market wants.

The solution to the Financial Crisis is also simple. A recession comes from idle labor and capital. To recover from or avoid a recession we must get credit markets moving again and create jobs.

Tangible assets such as real estate can be leveraged no more than 70% unless they have solar…then they can be leveraged 80%. That provides an incentive to end our dependence on foreign oil. Freddie and Fannie need to be merged into a single entity that can be caused US Real Estate Trust.

THE US REAL ESTATE TRUST

This newly formed entity must be run alongside of the Federal Reserve System with a mandate that it work with Financial Institutions to fund loans on Real Estate…all Real Estate in America. Regardless of credit history the Financial Institutions of America can write loans up to 70% of the value of any Real Estate and up to 80% if the property has Solar Power. The Financial Institutions and the US Real Estate Investment Trust split the interest on the loans on a 50/50 basis to keep the money flowing and the Financial Institutions afloat.

Any appraisals that are made to inflate the value of the property are punishable by taking away the appraisers license and assessing a fine.

ENERGY INDEPENDENCE NOW

Electric Cars, motorcycles, hybrids, solar panels, windmills, hydro-electric and clean coal technology need to be developed now to end our dependence on foreign oil. Every watt that is renewable takes carbon out of the air that we all breathe. Investment into green energy will create a huge number of jobs…especially if we create incentives for small businesses.

INCENTIVE FOR SMALL BUSINESS

Thanks to the lobbying of Big Business it is harder than ever to create a small business that can succeed. They are attempting to make it hard for the little people to have the American Dream because they fear the business with low overhead. They don’t want to compete with it. So they make it hard for you and me to start a business. That is why when millions of Americans are faced with losing their homes who is it that the Government chooses to bail out? They bail out Wall Street and let the average American foot the bill.

WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE?

I watched as President Bush announced the bailout plan that we are forced to support. As I watched a standoff in Los Angeles on television between law enforcement attempting to serve an eviction notice to a homeowner that had lost his home due to foreclosure. He sat with his wife armed with guns and held off the police for eleven hours. I looked for the story in the Los Angeles Times and couldn’t find it the next day…it had been buried. I think the contrast was lost in the shuffle.

PRINT IT AND SHIP IT

We owe eleven trillion dollars…most of it to foreign countries. Let’s print the currency and load it into 40’ containers and ship it to China, India, Saudi Arabia and other governments that hold our debt. Ship the cash to them. Imagine a 40’ container showing up at the Government Headquarters in Beijing. What would they do with it? Good question…since we restrict transporting over ten thousand dollars into the country and we make the movement of currency through the Patriot Act very difficult it would be hard to get those dollars back into America.

Many state that this would cause inflation. Isn’t inflation exactly what we need right now to get real estate stabilized? A round of inflation would take care of the problems that our financial system faces. And five trillion dollars hitting us a little at a time as I have demonstrated would help us with a modest round of inflation.

What it would do is establish the dollar as the Global Currency. Transactions that were done with briefcases of currency would be done in Dollars and it would immediately become the defacto currency.

INTANGIBLE ASSETS

Stocks, bonds, and derivatives can have fluctuating values and should only be leveraged to 50% at a maximum. Mortgages can never be insured and leveraged like they have been recently. Leverage is what created the Great Depression. Sensible banking will lead to a stable economy. High leverage works well through the meteoric rise but collapses quickly upon the fall…creating a card castle that leads to record bailouts.

NEVER AGAIN

We have to love ourselves to say never again. Lie to us once…shame on you…lie to us twice…shame on us…continue to lie to us without us rising and firing you…shame on America.

FIRE CONGRESS NOW!!!

My name is Michael Douglas Carlin and I have had it with the game of politics. I spent eight years of my life with a habitual liar and I spent all of that time trying to figure out what was true and what was a lie. What a waste of time! When you hear a politician blame another you know that they are guilty too…so why not get them all out of office.

It is time that the ordinary citizens take back America. When we get caught up in who is to blame and we spend our time listening to their arguments we are being distracted from what is being done behind the curtain… that we can’t see. They distract us with their finger pointing and we miss the fact that they all need to go.I have a tremendous respect for the accomplishments of Senator John McCain and Barack Obama and they along with all of Congress need to begin their fishing trip and leave the governing to ordinary citizens.

There is this vetting process that bars the ordinary American from every running for office. I certainly won’t pass the blue blood test. I am an ordinary man that wants to see our Country be more than it is right now. I want to see us go back to the basics.

We have entered the Global Era and we need to rise to the new realities that we face. Business As Usual will no longer work in America. We come from all over the world. With Globalization who is better poised to take advantage of the opportunities but those that understand diverse cultures and speak multiple languages.

My platform is simple…back to the basics. The platform is outlined in my book “A Prescription For Peace.” They want us to be confused…they want to make it complicated and they want to manipulate us into buying into an agenda that is good for big business and bad for ordinary Americans.

I am not anti-big business. I am for allowing the Free Market to work with oversight. Granting special considerations to any company that makes them less competitive isn’t good for the long term health of America.

Now with our Financial Crisis, our National Debt, our outdated Health Care System we need to peel away the layers that are non-productive and focus all of our energies on those that can produce real goods and services that meet the needs of the Global Market. If I am elected President I will give America that simplicity that gets us on track to be competitive in the Global Marketplace.

A Competitive America will allow every man woman and child in America to have three square meals a day, a roof over their heads, access to quality health care, personal security, an education and a job.

Having capital and labor idle is never good. So let us all usher in the greatest era in the history of the world. Let us usher in the greatest economy that has ever existed along with the most prosperity for all humanity.

Michael Douglas Carlin is the author of “A Prescription For Peace” (available at Amazon.com) He is credited with the quote: “Our work will not be done until every man, woman and child alive has three square meals a day, a roof over their heads, access to quality health care, personal security, an education, and a job.”

To the Editor:

President Obama made a great point in a speech to students. He pointed out that some suggest government is trying to take over the healthcare system. He further pointed out that we have private universities and we have public universities but no one has suggested government wants to take over the university system. Here are some of the GOP leaders who have opposed government health care, making accusations that the program is a move toward socialism. Yet, they attened public universities.

Rush Limbaugh – This talk show commentator is constantly accusing the Obama administration of leading us toward socialism. Yet he, himself, got his education from a public program. He attended college at Southeast Missouri State University.

Mitch McConnell – Attended two public universities, the University of Louisville, and the University of Kentucky.

Virginia Foxx – She not only attended a public university, but she attended the oldest public university in the U.S. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. And to further demonstrate that, in spite of what she says, she does believe in some public programs, she was a professor at Appalachian State University.

John McCain – Senator McCain got his education from a government run University as well. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis.

Sarah Palin – One of the most critical of the Obama healthcare plan, calling it “socialism”. This former governor attended the University of Idaho, Idaho’s oldest public university.

This certainly brings up an interesting question. If we think public universities are okay for educating our citizens, why would we feel a public health option would be socialism? Do we have some hypocricy rearing it’s ugly head in this discussion?

By Dennis Copson
On November 4th, Americans chose their next President with a convincing declaration that they were unhappy with the status quo and wanted dramatic change! They rejected experienced John McCain selecting an untested Barack Obama.
There were seven reasons for this: Foremost was the ‘Bush Factor’. However much he disavowed it, McCain was tagged as a Bush loyalist by the Democrats and could never quite disassociate himself. Obama’s argument that McCain’s election would be a third George Bush term was one to which the voters could – and did – relate.

Second was McCain’s irascible personality. He appeared ‘the grouchy old man’ to many Americans tired of partisan bickering in our nation’s capital. “That one!” offered a calming alternative while at times suggesting – quite effectively – that McCain was unstable; voters went for it.

Third was McCain’s disorganized approach to campaigning. David Brooks, New York Times columnist, referred to this as McCain failing to establish a central argument and framework for his being the better choice for President.

Fourth was his pick of Sarah Palin. If his intent was to capture disaffected Hillary Clinton women supporters, there were many other Republican women infinitely more competent and better known whose selection would have made far more sense. It was a foolhardy gesture at best. Voters could not accept her as being a heartbeat away from the Oval Office.

Fifth was the ‘let’s make history’ aspect of this election where it was noted so many times in so many venues that we had never elected a black person to our highest office, nor a woman. A considerable number of voters were convinced that their vote should go to Barack to correct past injustices, right or wrong – the aptly named ‘guilt voter’ pulling the lever for history rather than qualifications.

Sixth, McCain should have known that age would be a major consideration in the election. He should have known that this was not his time. His time had passed in 2000; it was not now when he was running in a completely different era, under completely different circumstances, against a completely different opponent.

Seventh was the press bias so apparent in this election cycle. The mainstream media overwhelmingly lacked objectivity in assessing the two candidates and – at times so gleefully and so unprofessionally that it was distracting – developed a love-fest relationship with Obama.

Americans should be very troubled when the fourth estate, inherently responsible for conveying political news fairly and with at the very least a modicum of objectivity, takes obvious sides so blatantly in an election. That should never happen, but it did.

We will officially swear in our new President in January. He will have a challenging term in office as these are dangerous and uncertain times. We now must all unite behind him, support him where we can, and differ where we must.

We have spoken and the results have been tallied. We must now live with our vote.

May God bless America!

To The Editor:

Well, Friday’s study of 979 news stories by the non-partisan Center for Media and Public Affairs proves what any U.S. political observer knows to be true: The media are highly biased against John McCain. The study showed 65 percent of the stories favor Obama; only 31 percent were favorable of McCain.

Media bias has ruined this election.

This is pretty telling for three reasons:
1) McCain has long courted media approval in his career, but it hasn’t mattered. Shows what sucking up to reporters can get you.
2) I don’t ever hear any of the media pundits refuting the point that Obama is riding a media honeymoon into the White House. The L. A. Times is withholding a controversial video about Obama for example.
3) The study showed the most fair broadcast of the major networks (the study excluded CNN and NBC) was Brit Hume’s Fox broadcasts. Even then, it was not perfectly balanced — 39 percent favorable stories to McCain and 28 percent favorable for Obama.
Is it any surprise that the mainstream media, especially newspapers, are losing their readers and viewers en masse?
Just give it to us straight please!

Sincerely,
John Harrington
Virginia

The media reaction to the recent ABC Presidential debate in Pennsylvania was almost unanimous. Television moderators Charles Gibson and George Stephanopoulos were widely ridiculed for not asking a single question on an issue of political substance for more than the first fifty minutes of the Presidential debate. Indeed, there was not a single question on health care, the war in Iraq, the economy, illegal immigration, social security, or any other of the important challenges and issues facing America today.

Instead, for nearly the first hour of the debate, the voters heard questions concerning Barrack Obama’s recent dubious comments on small town America. In addition, the ABC moderators focused several questions on Obama’s relationship with his pastor, the controversial Reverend Jeremiah Wright. Another debate question concerned whether Obama loves the American flag and why he does not wear flag pins on his suit lapel. Still another question concerned Barack Obama’s relationship with the former radical leader of the “Weathermen“, William Ayers.

While some of the criticism of the coverage of the Democrats Pennsylvania debate is certainly valid (especially troubling were the continued camera shots of Former First daughter, Chelsea Clinton), the questions posed by the moderators in those first fifty minutes were exactly the types of questions that the American voter now needs answered in order to vote for or against Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama.

It is evident that the country is aware that Barack Obama is to the left of the American political center on most of the major issues. It also appears from the public opinion polls that much of the American public would currently support an inexperienced, liberal, Democratic politician in the 2008 Presidential election. In fact, the polls indicate that if an election between John McCain and Barack Obama was held today, it would certainly be very close.

So a pertinent question in the mind of the American voter is really just how far to the left of center are the politics of Barack Obama? The ultimate answer to that question will probably decide the 2008 Presidential election. Therefore, the questions in the first fifty two minutes of the ABC Presidential debate, while not about national issues, were certainly not frivolous and actually quite important.

Consider that Barack Obama is running for the highest office in the land on a very short political record. He has been a United States Senator for just three years. Prior to that he was a State Senator in Illinois. His political record is short and his voting record appears carefully designed with a future campaign for a high office in mind.

In announcing the reason for his candidacy for the Presidency, Barack Obama said: “What’s stopped us is the failure of leadership, the smallness of our politics, the ease with which we’re distracted by the petty and trivial, our chronic avoidance of tough decisions”. His oratory sounds wonderful until one examines his actual record as an Illinois State Senator. That record indicates that he voted “present,” (effectively sidestepping many important issues) nearly 130 times. It is a political voting record that gives little insight into today‘s presidential candidate. It is also a voting record that is in conflict with the words of the man.

As a result, in the minds of the voters, there are really two distinct Presidential candidates named Barack Obama. Which of the two is the actual candidate is the biggest question the voters must answer between now and election day. The fact is that the Barack Obama who cannot win is the candidate who secretly agrees with the diatribes of his pastor, Jeremiah Wright. He also supports Louis Farrakhan, William Ayers, and other extreme activists of the American left. The Barack Obama who cannot win is the candidate that makes elitist comments about small town America and its guns and religion. The Barack Obama who cannot win is the candidate that continues to backpedal and apologize for gaffes and communication errors.

However, the Barack Obama who can win the 2008 Presidential election is the candidate who uses his considerable communication skills to unite the nation. Also, he must be a candidate who transcends partisan politics and wants real reform in Washington, D.C. He would learn quickly from his limited experience and cannot vote “present” on the major issues of the day. He may not be an elitist, but should be the candidate who has shown great skill in the management of his heretofore successful Presidential campaign.

Is Barack Obama a unique, thoughtful politician who can transcend party politics and use his considerable oratory skill to lead the country and reform Washington DC.? Or is Barack Obama a far left of center, elitist candidate who secretly admires the dubious diatribes of his radical pastor, and who condones the actions of a violent underground leader of America’s past?

Historically, American political reality concludes that the former Barack Obama can win the 2008 Presidential election, while the latter Barack Obama simply cannot. It certainly would be a lot easier for the voters during the next several months if the real Barack Obama finally stood up.
